Sam Cagle is a retired communicator/Public Affairs Officer with both the U.S. Air Force and Department of the Army as a civilian
employee. He has been in the Lacey area since 1990, and a member of the Olympia Communicators Group since 1996. He is a
believer in the power of professional networking and the sharing of techniques and information to improve the awareness and
capabilities of South Sound communicators. He is always looking for presenters, topics, ideas to enhance the OCG service,
and folks to lend a hand.
The Olympia Communicators Group was formed in 1995, as a means of developing a forum for communication professionals in North
Thurston County to interact. The basic concepts established at that time - get together once a month for an informal brown-bag
meeting to network and hear speakers on various internal and public communications issues... and to do so with no dues, no
rules, and no officers - have continued unchanged to this day. By 2008, the membership has grown to over 700, meetings are
held regularly, and this web site has been in operation for nearly three years, using input provided by the membership.
Special thanks to Shyloh Wideman of ScholasTechs for his help in updating the website in March, 2008.
