2. Portland City Commissioner-elect Amanda Fritz seeks applications for three (3) staff representatives.

3.  University of Portland is hiring a visiting assistant professor to teach four journalism/media courses August-December 2009 . Masters Degree minimum. 4. Oregon 150 is hiring a Marketing Project Manager in Portland. Statewide travel is required. Position is open until filled.

 

1) Trimet is hiring a PIO to help with operations and service communications issues, as well as support communications efforts on capital projects and other agency initiatives. The position also covers the
TriMet duty pager 24/7. Job closes November 28, 2008.

2) Oregon Small Business Healthcare Initiative seeks a dynamic part time project director to expand statewide coalition, primarily through the recruitment of new members, media outreach and expanded relationships with partner organizations and existing business supporters. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of relevant experience and proven capabilities in leadership, management, organizing and communications. Deadline Tuesday, December 2, 2008.

3) The Democratic Party of Oregon (DPO) is aseeking a full-time director of operations / administrative assistant. This is a full-time salaried position with benefits, located in Portland.

4) The House Democratic Majority Office is hiring a communications director. The communications director works closely with the majority leader, caucus chief of staff, and other leadership offices in implementing the overall communications plan for the Democratic Caucus; supports the caucus legislative director in implementing the legislative plan; supports the caucus leadership team and individual members with communications to the press and constituents. First consideration for interviews will be given those applications received by 5:00 p.m. on November 25, 2008.

5) SAFE for Salmon seeks a campaign organizer: Full-time contract position to shepherd an important fishery issue through the 2009 Oregon legislative session. Contractor works with a steering committee coalition of sportfishing and environmental/conservation groups to develop timelines, outreach, funding and legislative goals in Oregon and Washington. Regularly works outside the office without direct supervision to communicate with the steering committee, the public, funding sources and legislative staff. Work includes research, editing, and writing communication pieces, and in coordinating functions.
